My life as a baker began when I was learning to read. My favorite place to be was in the kitchen with my mom. I was not all that enthusiastic about reading so she got me to read recipes to her, and I was hooked. Life and people have been my teachers. I never pass up the chance to ask questions and glean wisdom from others who are passionate about making good food.
In 2006 I learned that I had Celiac Disease and my baking world got turned upside down. At first there were more failures than successes and I was more than a little depressed about the whole thing. That is when my friend who has known me since 1967 told me not to worry…
“Jules, you are the best person to have Celiac! If anyone can figure out how to make gluten free taste good it is you! Jonna W.
With her encouragement I set out to find my way back to creating in the kitchen. This blog is my way to share what I have learned along the way.
Hi Julie!
I hear you have a cold. Bummer!
A friend of mine who has gone gluten free will be interested in all your experiments with gf flour. I just sent her this address.
Thank you for all you do!
XXOO,
Pamela
